Wow, it's a pretty big week in Abu Dhabi nightlife this week, asMadonna fever hits!

Thursday 31st May

BIG RNB is on again this Thursday at Rush (in the Yas Viceroy Hotel), with one of the biggest Dubai-based DJs around, Dany Neville. With support from popular local DJs Cliff Townley andDJ Neil T, this is bound to be another busy night.

DJ Keza returns to The Yacht Club this Thursday. In 2007, DJ Keza was nominated in the Burn FG DJ Awards as Best Young Amateur DJ in France amongst David Guetta, Martin Solveig, Bob Sinclair and many others. Keza brings his own French touch to an eclectic track selection, from deep soul-shaker house to sharp hip hop joints blended with precision.

Cooper's Bar have live band Few As Much performing this Thursday, playing a mix of cover songs, Jazz and RnB. There will also be a cigar roller at the bar rolling free cigars.

Friday 1st June

Al Maya Island are running their BPM Rain Pool Party this Friday with a Rain special - much needed as the weather is warming up very quickly! Special guest DJs are audio tonic residents Raxon and Soulfisher, so for those of you who like good quality house in one of the most lovely outdoor clubbing locations in the Capital, this party is for you.

For some more pool party action, you can head to Aloft for theirLiquid Rain Pool Party. With numbers reaching over 1500 each month, it's fast becoming an institution in Abu Dhabi. Liquid resident DJ Natalie Brogan will be splashing her mixes along with Stew Magoo and the pool party starter himself, Chad Phunk.

The Madonna Weekend kicks off this Friday at Allure with a collaboration with the infamous Lebanese-based 8e Art to give you a carousel of world class musical entertainment. Fashion will fuse with live pop and rock and a cross section of other musical genres, as headline DJs from Beirut join DJ Soulninja and a thrilling performance from Loud Arabia. With catwalk showcases from the latest couture designers offering an insight into everything new and beautiful, this is bound to be a big night for both the eyes and the ears. The party continues on Saturday.

Stars 'n' Bars is all ready for Madonna fever... it's a 4 dayFrozen Party. Madonna concert ticket holders get a complimentary refreshing drink at Stars 'n' Bars and a free shuttle bus to Du Arena. With drink promotions and live entertainment from their band The Providers on Friday, Saturday and Monday, and DJ Beta playing all Madonna hits on Sunday, it's another option for your Yas Island weekend.

Eight are playing host to DJ PC from Miami for the next few installments of their Friday Bounce urban night.

Etoiles welcomes back DJ Emtee to their Bring Down the House urban night, where he will battling it out on the decks with resident DJ Jack.

Saturday 2nd June

B-Lounge, the outdoor bar at the Sheraton, is running its lastOpen Mic Night for the season. Expect to be taken away by the funky sounds of “Rated R” or the instrumental gig of Yazan and Ibrahim with their Arabic Drum and Oud. Chill out in bean bags and lounges listening to the rock e-guitar sounds of Ahmad Rammal or the guitar gig of Julie Gordon.

The 8E Art Entertainment night continues at Allure.

Sunday 3rd and Monday 4th June

The night many of you have been waiting for... MADONNA LIVE IN ABU DHABI! Performing exclusively at du Arena as part of her World Tour, this not-to-be-missed concert is set to make dreams come true for thousands in the region. Skylite are also running Madonna pre-parties on Sunday and Monday with their Bedtime Stories - A Trip Through the 80snight. Named after Madonna's 1994 album, Skylite will be turned into a huge open air bedroom, and over the two nights they will be playing the music that defined a decade, re-creating the cocktails of that era, and on four screens, showing the movies they regard now as cult classics.

Friday 25th May

It's also the closing party for MustHaveSoul this Friday at Sea Lounge. Residents Dan ChadwickMelohman and Tristan Bainwill be playing their special blend of soulful house and soulful dance music from 4pm till late.

Time to grab the glowsticks and get your UV on as Allure hosts their fourth UV Party this Friday. DJ Soulninja will be manning the decks in the Allure Main Room. With paint and glowstick giveaways, it should be a fun night out.

NEW BAR OPENS

Hyatt Capital Gate announced the opening of another new stylish bar in Abu Dhabi this week, Privé. Providing a much-needed space in Capital Centre for informal drinks, satisfying cuisine, and the occasional live sports event and cigar, Privé provides something for everyone. Privé opens next Wednesday, and will be open Sunday to Friday from 7 pm till 12 midnight. Enjoy ‘3 for 2’ on selected beverages until 1 September 2012.

Thursday 17th May

It's the season finale for Urban Education at Pearls & Caviarthis Thursday, with DJs Rone Jaxx and DJ Trina spinning the best of RnB, Hip Hop, Funk and all things urban.
BIG RNB fans will be excited to see the event return this Thursday to Rush (in the Yas Viceroy Hotel). DJ Masterstepz from the UK will be joining residents Cliff Townley and DJ Neil T for a night of RnB and Hip Hop. Masterstepz has played all over the world, with his talents also spreading to the US. Major US DJ Agency Violator signed Stepz as their first and only UK DJ on their roster, where he has performed alongside heavyweight artists such as Diddy, LL Cool J, 50 Cent, Busta Rhymes, Mary J Blige, Mariah Carey and more.

Join resident DJ Rabih Karim, along with a live saxaphonist and dancers at The Yacht Club this Thursday and Friday.

Friday 18th May

SmokinGroove will be joining resident DJ Chris Delaney for an all day house music pool/foam party at Al Maya Island, with live dancers and entertainment throughout the day.

It's also the season finale for RetroFlect at Pearls & Caviartonight. RetroFlect takes you back to the era when ‘image was everything’. Join DJs Soulninja and Jono Bradford as they take you from 70s Glam Rock, through to the New Wave and Romantics genres of the 80s, right up to the rock and pop classics of the late 80 and early 90s. As the sun sets and the heat gets turned up, DJ Afroboogie will be twisting the night into his very own style of deep, vocal house with a splash of the ‘classics’.

DJ Emtee will be battling it out on the decks again with residentDJ Jack at Etoiles' popular urban night, 
Bring Down the House.

Saturday 19th May

There are a number of venues playing the Champions League Final this Saturday, with special screens set up along with drink specials. Head to Cooper's BarStills or P.J. O'Reilly's for your football fix.

It's also the final Crew Lounge at Pearls & Caviar for the season. Ladies and Etihad Crew receive unlimited free cocktails all night all set to the sounds supplied by DJ Cliff Townley. Expect to hear anything from Soul and Funk, RnB and Hip-Hop & House and Acoustics sets.

Wednesday 9th May

Sax Club hosts the first White Party direct from Amsterdam this Wednesday. The White Party formula has its roots in the US, where it all started over 27 years ago, back in 1984. All guests dress up in white to have the ultimate feeling of unity. Ten years ago the first White Party was held in Amsterdam, and the party has become the biggest dance event in Europe. House music DJs Kid Chris and DJ Aleksey of In Touch With Ibiza fame will be manning the decks for the night, with support from resident DJ Roland.

Special guest DJ Roxy June from Thailand returns to The Yacht Club this Wednesday and Thursday to play her special blend of electro and commercial tunes.

Skylite launches their new Ladies Night with a difference,Skylite Angels. Sign up for your Skylite Angels card to get special discounts and preferential treatment at all Skylite events. An eclectic mix of balearica, boogie, house, jazz, Latin and Nu Disco tunes will be played by resident DJ Matty Wainright.

Thursday 10th May
This Thursday is a massive night at Allure, as Flash Entertainment and Allure by Cipriani conspire to bring you internationally renowned trance DJs Gareth Emery, with his unique production style that has been described as a fusion of trance, house and progressive, and Sander Van Doorn, one of the world’s most essential, influential and popular DJ/producers in dance music today, together to grace their decks for one night only. This will be a simple but effective Night of Dance with an elegant and sophisticated Cipriani signature style.

Relax@12 welcomes back popular Dubai-based DJ Darko De Jan this Thursday. Darko De Jan combines his sound of brilliantly crafted rhythms with soaring house vocals and melodies, with a passion for the dance floor and the music that surrounds it that goes beyond infectious.

Etoiles brings back the IT-BOT, an 8 foot tall robot covered in thousands of LED lights, to add a little bit of difference to their Etoiles Party night. Resident DJ Jack will be mashing up house, RnB and hip hop all night.

Tonight is Skylite's 2nd Installment of their monthlyDOOMPH! night (sponsored by ABSOLUT Flavors). Focusing on the subliminal drive of 70s and 80s Disco, Jazz, Soul, Funk, Boogie, Italiao and Electronica, right up to modern day Nu Disco, DOOMPH!'s focus is on creating a fun, non-pretentious, eclectic musical environment. DJs for the night are resident Matty Wainwright and Tristan Bain (from Dubai) with some fun novelties including the largest disco ball in the UAE suspended from the Skylite gridshell, and a midnight balloon drop.

Urban Education is running a No Sleep Till Brooklyn - a Beastie Boys Special this Thursday at Pearls & Caviar. Join Rone Jaxx and DJ Trina as they look back at the pioneers that brought Hip-Hop to the mainstream.

Friday 11th May

Jamrock Abu Dhabi returns to Splash Garden at the Aloft Hotel this Friday. With dancers, international DJs Neeko andDJ CP and resident DJs including Sir Taz, Subandrio, Dany Neville, Rone Jaxx, Mad Hands and Sherif playing 7 hours of urban, Caribbean and commercial tunes, this will be another awesome outdoor party.

Immaculate Touch returns to Al Maya Island this Friday for their fortnightly all day beach and pool party. In addition to resident DJs Chad Phunk and Stew MagooNatalie Broganand Cliff Townley will be spinning some quality house tunes at one of the most beautiful beach/poolside locations in the capital.
DJ Emtee will be battling it out on the decks again with resident DJ Jack at Etoiles' popular urban night, 
Bring Down the House.

Local DJs Cliff Townley and Soulninja return to Allure for their Premium Knights night, where they will be playing their mix of popular RnB, hip hop and commercial floor fillers.

Saturday 12th May

The Immaculate Touch team are launching a new Saturday 'after party' at Sea Lounge, Monte-Carlo Beach Club. Named Immaculate Sunsets, you can listen to funky uplifting house music while you watch the sun set over the Arabian Gulf. Ladies can enjoy free selected beverages from 5-6pm.

Tuesday 15th May

Sax Club is running a special Layali night with Lebanese star Adam, one of the most successful and promising young artists from Lebanon, performing live.

Allure welcome back popular Abu Dhabi DJ Neil T to theirPaparazzi night. He'll be playing his mix of urban grooves in the Main Room, while resident DJ N.I.K.O.L.A. will be playing his special blend of deep and tribal vocal house out on the Beats Terrace.

Friday 4th May

Wow, there's lots going on in Abu Dhabi this Friday! Take your pick from...

Le Royal Meridien is hosting their all day Ministry of Soundpool party, a sun-kissed pool jam of rockin’ beats and bass-lines, featuring 5 all-star entertainers and a spectacular Ministry of Sound Show with special DJ guests Shane Kehoe and Joelle Atkins, as well as Marty MetcalfCliff Townley, Neil T andMr. Smith.

Etoiles just keep the celebrity guests coming. This week, it'sCHIP aka Chipmunk gracing the stage at their urban night,Bring Down the House. Known by his stage name CHIP, formerly Chipmunk, is an English hip hop rapper and songwriter from Tottenham, London. The double MOBO winner, who has over 200,000 followers on Twitter, has so far sold over 300,000 copies of his platinum debut album, ‘I Am Chipmunk...’ As well as a No.2 album, Chip also scored two Top 10 hits with ‘Diamond Rings’ and ‘Look For Me’, while ‘Oopsy Daisy’ gave him his first No.1 single.

RetroFlect are hosting an urban classics special this Friday atPearls & Caviar with special guest DJ Adam J, fresh from filming his latest MTV smash ‘We Came to Party’ in Dubai. Adam has received two Time Out Nightlife Dubai Awards in the past two years for Best Urban Night for his Number 1 Fridays residency and has a resume that includes just about every big name in the urban music world from the last decade. He now regularly gigs all over the UK, Europe, the UAE and America, playing clubs and concerts as well as private corporate functions, fashion shows, and celebrity parties.

Heavy metal band Avenged Sevenfold is performing at Yas Arena this Friday night, courtesy of Flash Entertainment. After touring with the likes of Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, and Iron Maiden, A7X are on top form and ready to rock the region. Heavy metal fans can expect to do some serious headbanging at this event!

Mai Café at the Aloft Hotel is running its Liquid Rain Pool Party again this Friday. Water systems will be set up to rain down over the entire dance floor, refreshing those dancing in the summer heat. DJ Natalie Brogan will be providing the house tunes to groove with.

Saturday 5th May

B-Lounge at the Sheraton is running the second installment of their Open Mic Night, where anyone from the public can get involved. This time, the performers are an interesting mix of local talents: Enjoy the jazzy sounds of the two a-capella barbershop choirs “Voices of Harmony” and “Blue Fever”, listen to the funky sounds of “Rated R” or the instrumental gig of Jazan and Ibrahim with their Arabic Drum and Oud. Whether you want to perform unplugged on stage or just have a chilled-out drink in the lounge or Arabic seating area, this night offers something a little bit different.
