EVENTS THIS WEEK

It's certainly a busy week in Abu Dhabi nightlife this week, with many venues splashing out their best events to close out the season before the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Thursday 12th July

DJ Keza is playing at The Yacht Club again this Thursday. DJ Keza was nominated in the Burn FG DJ Awards as Best Young Amateur DJ in France amongst David Guetta, Martin Solveig, Bob Sinclair and many others. Keza brings his own French touch to an eclectic track selection, from deep soul-shaker house to sharp hip hop joints blended with precision.

Etoiles have lined up a star studded weekend for Abu Dhabi clubbers this weekend. This Thursday, Drake's official tour DJ, Future the Prince, will be manning the decks. Future the Prince has been fortunate enough to perform with Drake around the world on some of the biggest stages, from major tours to TV appearances (Lettermen, Leno), to Summer Jams & OVO Fest (alongside Jay-Z and Eminem). He's also played at after parties for major events like the Superbowl and Grammy Awards.

After the success of the last Bollywood/Bhangra party, Holiday Inn are hosting the second installment of their Karma - Destined to Party event tonight with DJ Abhijeet and DJ Tushar.

For Lebanese music loving fans, Sax Club are running a special Layali Night, playing host to Lebanese star BADIH, who will be performing alongside resident DJ Roland.

Vertical, the bar in the Cristal Salam Hotel, have organised an Absolut Martini Party, with DJ Ilona Maras playing house and downtempo house and lounge.

Friday 13th July

Al Maya Island is closing for the season this Friday, with DJs Soulfisher (audio tonic) and Amir Sharara joining resident DJ Chris Delaney on the decks for the afternoon and evening.

Vertical have organised a Champagne Pool Party for the afternoon from midday to 4pm, with DJ Ilona Maras playing house music, and unlimited mojitos, champagne and Vertical’s own concept of food to share.

It's the last Liquid Rain Pool Party at the Aloft Hotel this Friday. With their last party seeing in excess of 1,600 people, it's the place to be to cool down and party the night away in the hot summer heat. Liquid resident DJ Natalie Brogan will be splashing her mixes along with Stew Magoo and the pool party starter himself Chad Phunk.

Etoiles have another special urban star in store for clubbers this Friday, with Labrinth performing live at their popular Bring Down the House urban night. In just two years, Labrinth has experienced an extraordinary career trajectory. After working with Tinie Tempah on his huge hit ‘Pass Out’, he was rocketed into the upper echelons of British popular music. Now signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco label, the London born performer is making a big name for himself in the industry. His debut-album ‘Electronic Earth’ reached number 2 in the UK charts earlier this year, and he's also soon to collaborate with Usher, Rihanna and Cheryl Cole.
