EVENTS THIS WEEK

Thursday 27th September

BIG RNB welcomes special guest DJ Skinz to the decks this Thursday. DJ Skinz is a well known DJ from the UK, and has been the resident at the Ministry of Sound club in London for many years. Support from resident DJs Cliff Townley and Neil T.

Promoters Whatz Up are running their Love 2 Party event at the Abu Dhabi City Golf Club with popular DJs Dany NevilleDJ EmteeRone JaxxDulce andScorpio playing a mix of RNB, hip hop, dancehall and reggae, with some Latin, Desi and 90s house tunes thrown in.

Tonight, it's Mix Wid a Chix feat. The Twin DJs at Eight. The Twin DJs are from Eastern Europe, and their background of dance and acrobatics, coupled with their stylish and attractive appearance, brings a novelty factor behind the decks, where they'll be playing commercial, hip hop and RnB tunes.

Aloft are running the final of their Stay & Play live band gigs this Thursday, with live performances from three local bands each night forming each band's final "audition" for the grand prize. The winning band will spend 12 hours with Indie Rock band We Are Scientists in a converted suite at Aloft London Excel writing and recording a brand-new track. The track will then get its global debut in an exclusive live gig with We Are Scientists at Aloft London Excel on 1st November. Bands this week are Beat AntennaReign of Wrath and Sandwash.

Stars 'n' Bars continue their Oktoberfest celebrations with Oompah-Tainment, where every time you hear a German song played, a different drink promotion will be going on at the bar.

Salsa Glam is on at the Al Raha Beach Hotel this Thursday, where you can participate in Zouk and Salsa dance lessons, with DJs playing the hottest Salsa, Bachata & Zouk tunes, and live performances from go go dancers throughout the night.

Friday 28th September

Sea Lounge is hosting the AHLAN! Hot 100 Bars and Clubs Party on Friday night, with reality TV star Lauren Pope (from The Only Way is Essex) set for a guest appearance. Guest list is essential.

The Immaculate Touch Pool Party is on again at Al Maya Island. With live entertainment including the Immaculate dancers, fire breathers and I.T-BOT, their 8 ft. LED robot lighting the way later, and DJs Natalie BroganChadPhunkStew MagooCliff Townley and Pro-Moe manning the decks, plus Adam L on Sax, it'll be another action packed day and night.

Joseph Attieh returns to Abu Dhabi this Friday for a concert at Enigma, at the Al Raha Beach Hotel. Joseph Attieh is a Lebanese singer who won the third season of Star Academy Lebanon in 2005 after winning 55% of the vote, becoming the first Lebanese candidate to win the reality talent show.

Vertical (at the Cristal Salam Hotel) is hosting a Pool Party Brunch, with an all you can eat buffet and live DJ playing house tunes.

For classical music fans, the UAE National Symphony Orchestra presents An Arabian Night. The concert features the legendary orchestral piece Scheherazade and works for piano, oud and bagpipes.

Saturday 29th September

P.J. O'Reilly'are screening the Australian Football League Grand Final, with an Aussie breakfast buffet and drink promotions throughout.

Sunday 30th September

Live band Few As Much are performing at Cooper's Bar tonight with drink specials throughout the night.
DJ Natalie Brogan is guest DJ at We Love Sundays at Left Bank this Sunday, playing non commercial house tunes alongside residents ChadPhunk and Stew Magoo.
Wednesday 3rd October

Sax Club introduces Vintage SWAG, a special monthly edition of their popular urban ladies night, with DJ Kaboo on the decks spinning old skool urban beats and anthems, with some pop music thrown in. Ladies will be happy with free selected drinks all night and a welcome champagne flute. The night will regularly feature international guest DJs, so if you're into your urban vibes, Sax is now the place to be every Wednesday.

So Fizz at Jazz 'n' Fizz (in the Sofitel Hotel) will have bubbly lovers bursting with joy with special promotions available on fizz. A refined selection of bubbles will be served at a discounted price and a live saxophonist will provide a sophisticated soundtrack for the night.

Thursday 20th September

BIG RNB
 welcomes special guest DJ Woogie to the decks this Thursday. After getting his big start as a DJ on Shadville Radio with DJ Whoo Kid, DJ Woogie is now the official DJ for all of Soulja Boy' Tell 'Em's mixtapes, as well as the tour DJ for SODMG artist Jbar, and is fast becoming a well respected mixtape and tour DJ in the hip hop industry. Support from resident DJs Cliff Townley and Neil T.

Eight
 have launched a series of new events on rotation for Thursdays. Tonight
, it's Spectacle  with DJ Alex Lees on the decks playing commercial, hip hop and RnB tunes. The night promises a dazzling experience full of surprises. You'll have to show up to find out!

Etoiles
 continues their series of celebrity appearances this Thursday with SWAYperforming live. SWAY has had a long and illustrious career, having released a number of mixtapes, including This is My Promo (Vol 1 and 2), The Dotted Lines, Signature (LP 1 and 2) and The Delivery. He has also collaborated with the likes of Madness, The Kaiser Chiefs, DJ Yoda and the Stanton Warriors. Support from DJ Dany Neville mixing commercial house, RnB and hip hop to keep you moving all night long.

New DJs on the Abu Dhabi scene Dr Anas and Kale are playing commercial and vocal house at Gossip Night at Sea Lounge at the Monte-Carlo Beach Club. Every group of six ladies or more will receive a free bottle of Russia's finest.


Friday 21st September
Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE reopens for the season this Friday with BehrouzFrederick Stone, and Jean B playing, and a host of other surprises.

Al Maya Island 
 is hosting their BPM Foam Party this Friday, with DJs Chris DelaneySimon Kaye and Amir Sharara playing funky, vocal and soulful house, with live entertainment and dancers throughout the day. Al Maya Island is one of the nicest outdoor venues in the Capital, with it's various beach and pool parties now hosting up to 1500 people every week.

Saturday 22nd September

Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE
's season opening weekend continues on Saturday with performances by the talented Abri and the Bull Funk Zoo, along with live DJ sets by Jixo & Danz and KayTek.
B-Lounge at The Sheraton welcomes back the first installment of their popular Open Mic Night for the season. Be sure to be on time to get a place in their Arabic seating area or on their comfortable couches. To take part as a performer you are required to register at least five days before the event.

Stills 
are celebrating Arthur Guinness Day with special promotions on the black stuff.

P.J' O'Reilly's Super Sports Weekends kick off this Saturday where you can take advantage of their Super Sports food and drink deals.

Etoiles welcomes another celebrity DJ to the decks this Thursday, DJ Scottie B. Among his many accolades, he's a radio/TV presenter for MTV Base, a MOBO & UMA Nominee, has won 3 International DJ Awards in London, Ibiza and Dubai, has DJ'ed for Jay-Z, Chris Brown, Tinie Tempah, Ginuwine, Alesha Dixon, Mario, Taio Cruz, to name a few, has had the No. 1 selling album on iTunes, and has produced for some of the biggest names in the RnB industry. This is a truly talented DJ not to be missed. Support from DJ Alex Lees.

Soulninja joins residents Cliff Townley and Mr Neil T for BIG RNB this Thursday at Rush. The theme this week is Anthems where you can expect to hear the best RnB and Hip Hop anthems from the past and present.

Friday 14th September

It's the day for outdoor pool and boat party action this Friday!

The Immense Ibiza Yacht Party launches this Friday. Once a month, the yacht will sail from Al Marina Mall Harbour around the Gulf Sea for four hours (with an additional hour back in port), with resident DJs Chris Delaney and Moe Turkpumping out Balearic Ibiza beats. Immense's style of music is deep, funky, vocal and uplifting house. The event will host entertainers including international DJs, sax players & percussionists.

Immaculate Touch returns for its second party for the season at Al Maya Island. With live entertainment including the Immaculate dancers, fire breathers and I.T-BOT, their 8 ft. LED robot lighting the way later, and DJs Natalie Brogan,ChadPhunkStew MagooCliff Townley and Neil T manning the decks, plus Adam L on Sax, it's bound to be an action packed day and night. We'll be sending our photographer along later in the afternoon to capture all the fun in the sun.

The Liquid Rain Pool Party is back at Aloft again this Friday. Not just a pool party, Liquid takes getting wet, wet, wet to whole new level as cool water showers over the entire dance floor - the perfect way to dance the long, hot summer nights away! Liquid resident Natalie B and Radio 1's Simon B will be providing the house tunes for partygoers to dance the night away to.

New promoters on the scene, The Adventure Club, have also organised a pool party at the Premier Inn Hotel Pool. Music style for this event is RnB, Reggae and House, with DJ SWAQDJ Jeff and DJ ADM on the decks. Tickets are only 90 AED including an open buffet.

Bring Down the HouseEtoiles' urban night, have both DJ Emtee and Mister Outlaw manning the decks again this Friday. This is a popular night on the urban music calendar in Abu Dhabi.

Saturday 15th September

Left Bank are launching their new Saturday night offering, The Left Bank Social Club, with resident DJ Asee playing popular house anthems, and discounts for hoteliers as well as Etihad employees.

Tuesday 18th September

If you fancy a bit of quality comedy, the Foster's Laughter Factory is on at Heroes in the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi from 9pm.

Wednesday 19th
 September

Keza brings his own French touch to an eclectic track selection, from deep soul-shaker house to sharp hip hop joints blended with precision.

David Guetta and Armin van Buuren to headline Creamfields Abu Dhabi 2012


Creamfields Abu Dhabi, the region's largest electronic dance festival, returns to the Capital as an 18+ event for one night only. In a huge coup for promoters FLASH, the festival will be headlined by two of the world's biggest dance acts David Guetta and Armin van Buuren.

On Friday December 7th, Yas Island will buzz to an eclectic mix of trance, techno, house and commercial dance, as the du Arena becomes a playground for electro fans from across the region. With eight hours of the hottest dance sounds from around the world, alongside weird and wonderful entertainment, there are few live music festivals in the regional calendar as eagerly awaited as Creamfields Abu Dhabi.

This will be David Guetta's second appearance at Creamfields Abu Dhabi, after first wowing crowds in 2010. The Grammy Award-winning DJ has sold more than three million records worldwide, with songs such asWhen Love Takes Over (featuring Kelly Rowland), Gettin' Over You, Sexy Chick and Titanium all reaching number one in the UK.

DJ and trance producer Armin van Buuren appears regularly on DJ Magazine's annual top 100 list of the world's best DJs. His radio show is one of the most listened-to in the world, with roughly 25 million listeners tuning in each week. The Dutchman is also returning to the capital for the second time, having performed at the du Forum last year.

Spread across the region's largest open air venue, Creamfields Abu Dhabi takes place at the recently refurbished du Arena, with performances on both the open-air main stage as well as inside the covered House Arena.

Giant laser robots, stilt walkers, laser and light shows, fun rides, a fun photo booth and fancy dress costumes will give fans an out-of-this-world experience as they rave to the region's most dynamic DJs and the electro-dance world's most talked about artists. A chill out shisha lounge, oxygen bars and a number of quality food and beverage options will cater to every festival-goer's needs in between.
