We're excited to announce Episode 2 of The Capital List TV! 

We paid a visit to Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE for Solomun, we covered the opening of Imago in the Le Royal Meridien hotel, and last (but not least!) we sat down with one of Abu Dhabi's favourite DJs and promoters, Cliff Townley!

Thursday 25th April 

International RnB superstar Amerie is performing at Eight Club tonight. Amerie stormed onto the urban scene in 2002 with the hit from her debut album All I Have, "Why Don't We Fall in Love", which peaked at number 23 on the Billboard Hot 100 and became a top ten hit on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Dance Club Play charts. In 2005, Amerie released her biggest hit to date, "1 Thing", the lead single from her second album, Touch, which garnered her crossover recognition and earned two Grammy Award nominations. Her third album, Because I Love It, was released in 2007, and she released her fourth studio album, In Love & War, in 2009.

Tonight, head to Ornina to experience their special white edition Full Moon Celebration, complimented by the pleasant tunes of lounge and chill out music played by resident DJ Tony Tone.

The 5th Abu Dhabi Salsa Festival continues this weekend at the Yas Island Rotana hotel, featuring spectacular Latin dance shows and various Latin dance workshops for all levels, all set to music by different international DJs.

Looking for a good ladies night in the Capital on Thursdays? Then head to Sea Lounge, Monte-Carlo Beach Club and enjoy the cool sea breeze as you listen to DJs Natalie Brogan and ChadPhunk, where from 8pm onwards, girls will receive complimentary drinks throughout the evening.

 

Ministry of Sound VIP at Rush Club features international DJ Martin 2 Smoove tonight. Martin 2 Smoove has played at the biggest clubs throughout the UK including Ministry of Sound, Fabric and Heaven to name but a few. Summer 2011 saw Martin 2 Smoove become a resident at arguably one of the most well known clubs in the world, Pacha Ibiza. He was a resident there each and every Friday with the likes of Pete Tong and Trevor Nelson.

Friday 26th April

This Friday, get set for a huge showcase at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE with special guest DJ duo from Romania, NTFO. The two young men, Dani and Robert, are part of the Romanian new wave electronic music and have become amongst the favorites of the industry's main characters: Richie Hawtin, Marco Carola, Loco Dice and Luciano. Having chart topping releases on some of the leading labels, get ready for a playlist of some of the biggest floor fillers to keep you dancing under the stars. Support from resident DJs Frederick Stone and Jean B.

The longest running pool party in Abu Dhabi, Immaculate Touch, returns to Al Maya Island today, with its hedonistic array of entertainment including 5 DJs, stilt walkers, dancers, fire, LED robot, Erika De Ville on violin, plus a free CD giveaway, all on a private island. Enjoy the amazing beachfront, cool down in the pool and party all day to the tunes of DJs Chad Phunk, Natalie Brogan, Stew Magoo, Pro-Moe and Chris Delaney.

If you're looking for a boat party this weekend, then Rock The Boat party might be the answer for you, where you can enjoy an afternoon of eating, drinking, dancing and water play and musical entertainment by DJ Chino and a guest DJ.

There's not much of this 'cooler' weather left, so get some alfresco Pearls & Caviar action in while you still can with Urban Education tonight, with popular Radio 1 DJ Rone Jaxx and DJ Shero spinning the best old, new and commercial RnB, Hip Hop and Dancehall tunes.

The handcrafted luxury vodka ABSOLUT ELYX launches at Etoiles this Friday, with performances from stylish 1920s curated artists and the DJ spinning modern beats. The VIP cocktail reception starts at 10pm, with the doors officially opening at 11:30pm. With free drinks for both ladies and gentlemen all night, this is likely to be very busy so it's recommended you get there early, and you'll need to be seated by midnight for the reveal and to enjoy the captivating performances. A strict door policy applies to this event - ladies and mixed couples only.

Saturday 27th April

Every Saturday, let the rhythm take over at Spanish-themed Puesta del Sol at Sea Lounge, Monte-Carlo Beach Club. Enjoy a traditional Flamenco performance, dancers and a Spanish guitarist, and as the day moves into night, resident DJ Melohman will take to the decks with a mix of Latin, house, Brazilian, funk, Nu Jazz and soulful beats. Watch the sun set over Saadiyat Island while sampling some traditional Spanish delicacy, paella, complimented by a glass of sangria.

Tonight is the final show night of the Salsa Festival, taking place at Etoiles club at the Emirates Palace hotel, where the the party will feature special shows, a dance competition and an awards ceremony.

Tuesday 30th April

Every Tuesday, it's Stiletto Night at Jazz 'n' Fizz in the Sofitel Hotel, where ladies receive complimentary drinks from 8pm till 12am, all set to the smoothe and funky sounds of their resident band, the Cuban Quartet.

From this Tuesday, Vertical in the Cristal Salam Hotel introduces DJ Nights on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Groove in the rhythm of 70s to 90s on Tuesdays with DJ Chalkie and a mix of pop, house and RnB on Thursdays and Fridays with their guest DJs.

Wednesday 1st May

Every Wednesday, head to Sea Lounge, Monte-Carlo Beach Club for Disco Fever, with retro DJ Jono Bradford playing the laid-back groovy hits from the 70s, 80s & 90s. Don't forget your dancing shoes so you can hit the dance floor for a mid-week boogie at one of the swankiest places in Abu Dhabi.
