Wow, there’s plenty going on in Abu Dhabi this week with Eid, Yasalam, Halloween and pre-F1 parties. To get the full rundown, make sure you log on!

Thursday 25th October

After a long summer hiatus, Allure re-opens this weekend, with DJs Soulninja and Trix spinning commercial and RnB tunes in the Main Room, and new resident DJ MirkoS playing deep and tech house on the Beats Terrace - a bit of something for everyone.

Special guest DJ at BIG RNB at Rush tonight is DJ GQ. Not only is GQ a phenomenal DJ, he is also known for his voice. While mixing, GQ rocks the mic bringing every performance to life. His music style is extremely versatile. Having been mixing for over 18 years, GQ's music knowledge and skill sets him apart from the rest - he's that open format DJ that tends to always play that song you haven't heard in years, then mix it with another song that is on a whole other music genre and make it sound so cool. Support from resident DJs Cliff Townley and Neil T.

If you're after a bit of culture and chill after a busy week, then the new Vine Down evening at Lemon & Lime (at the Westin Abu Dhabi Golf Resort & Spa) might be the ticket for you. Every Thursday, you can enjoy classic French wines at discount prices while listening to the soothing Jazz and soulful sounds from live performer, Jean Charles.

Eid celebrations kick off tonight at Sax Club with a special Layali night welcoming Khaled Hajjar from Lebanon and the percussionist Sultan Ghaith. Support by resident DJ Roland mixing a fusion of Arabic and the latest international hits.

Friday 26th October

Immaculate Touch returns to Al Maya Island this Friday with their Halloween UV Pool Party, the first of the Halloween celebrations this weekWith live entertainment including the Immaculate dancers, fire breathers and I.T-BOT, their 8 ft. LED robot lighting the way later, and DJs Natalie BroganChadPhunkStew MagooCliff Townley and Neil T manning the decks, plus Adam L on sax, it's bound to be an action packed day and night.

The Massive R&B Yacht Party with a Black & White theme is on this Friday with DJs Big-G and SWAQ playing urban tunes as you sail around the blue waters of the Arabian Gulf.

Aloft Hotel are running the final installment of their Liquid Rain Pool Party for the season this Friday with a special Halofteen celebration. DJ Natalie Brogan and Radio 1's Simon B will be spinning the house tunes while cool water showers over the dance floor. Prizes for the best Halloween costume.

FLASH Entertainment's Yasalam events kick off tonight with Tropfest Arabia, (the Arabic version of the world's largest short film festival), part of the Screen By the Sea Weekend series. Finalists' films will be premiered and screened for the first time in front of a celebrity judging panel of filmmakers, producers and directors from across the region.

Allure continues its season opening weekend tonight with an Opening UV Extravaganza, where popular DJ Bliss will be spinning alongside TrixSoulninjaMirkoS and more, and the club will be transformed into a UV wonderland. A surprise special guest DJ has been promised for the night.

Sax Club are hosting a special F1 Pre-party, sponsored by MUMM, the official Champagne of F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, with two tickets up for grabs for the race. Arabic, Lebanese, Middle-Eastern and international hits by DJ Tony White (Dubai).

This week, Urban Education at Pearls & Caviar welcomes Full Circle (U.A.G.). The movement of U.A.G. simply stands for "Underground Arab Group". The group, a collaboration between different rappers, producers and DJs, was formed in 2005 and has been going strong for 7 years. Their goal was to bring a new era to the hip-hop scene in the Middle East, a massive beat production and indescribable knowledge of hip-hop. The future outlook of this plan is to create tracks with a foreign touch, but with a Middle Eastern flavour. The group is well known and has a huge fan base in Abu Dhabi. Support from resident DJ Rone Jaxx.

Saturday 
27th October

Etoiles are hosting an Eid special of their Arabian Night this Saturday, with DJ Walid spinning the best Middle Eastern beats with a touch of house and RnB.

Tuesday 30th 
October

Ornina Lounge are running a White Sensation Full Moon Celebration party, with drink specials and tapas and house music all night long from resident DJ Alex Millan.

Halloween celebrations run over two nights at Cinnebar, with drink specials and prizes for the best Halloween costume.

EtoilesThe Living Dead Halloween Ladies Night Special is on tonight with DJ Enzo Mirak behind the decks. Fancy dress is a must! This time they're ditching the designer labels and going wild with their imaginations to create the scariest, spookiest, sassiest, sexiest or funniest costumes Fashion TV has ever seen! Prizes for best fancy dress outfits on the night.

Wednesday 31st 
October - Halloween!

Allure is celebrating Halloween on their stunning terrace with tunes supplied by DJs Soulninja and Trix. Free drinks for the ladies in costume all night, with themed drinks and shot giveaways. Come dressed in your scariest costumes for the chance to win prizes.

Join in the Halofteen celebrations at Club So-Hi with DJ Tamer spinning his 80s, 90s and 00s playlist, with dance girls and free cocktails for the ladies all night. Prizes for best Halloween costumes.

Eight's Halloween offering is Final Destination, where you can enjoy free Bloody Mary shots at your own peril to the RnB and commercial tunes of the Next Level DJs. Scary costumes are a must.

Harvester's are putting on a special Halloween Party with a twist tonight and Thursday, with new band The Spitfire playing alongside resident DJ Chris Delaney. Prizes for best costume, apple dunking, Halloween cocktails, and a full bar makeover are on offer.

Hunter's Bar are offering prizes for the best-dressed male and female and best scary pumpkin, Halloween snacks and happy hours throughout the night.

Celebrate Halloween at Ornina Lounge where the best costume will win a dinner for two at the restaurant. House tunes supplied by Alex Millan.

P.J. O'Reilly's launches Paddyman for weekly Wednesday performances, tonight being Halloween themed with costumes and fun. The popular Irish Character will open a series of weekly “Paddy” themed nights. Known for his humorous gigs and characters imitating stars and leaders, PaddyMan is bound to turn Wednesday nights at P.J.’s into something a bit different to do on the nightlife scene.

Sax Club's Halloween offering includes free selected drinks for the ladies all night, a special Halloween drink menu, prizes for best costumes, all to your favourite urban and commercial hits from DJ Ka Boo and DJ Roland.

Join Stars n Bars for their Just Not Ladies Night sports themed Halloween party, where you're encouraged to dress up as your favourite sports star or represent your favourite game. Drink specials throughout the night.

Stills' Halloween offer is a three course set menu to tunes supplied by resident DJ Chris Jackson.

Zenith is offering complimentary Halloween cocktails for the ladies and prizes for the best costumes, with DJ CK playing all the latest hits.

If you're not a big Halloween fan, Natalie Brogan is playing at Ray's Bar this Wednesday for their Drink Pink Ladies Only Night. Enjoy sublime cocktails and premium bubbly to a background of eclectic house tunes.

Thursday 18th October

Special guest DJ at BIG RNB at Rush tonight is DJ Whoo Kid. As the CEO of Shadyville Entertainment, the official DJ for G-Unit Records, founder of RadioPlanet.tv and spokesperson for several major brands, Whoo Kid has worked with a plethora of high profile celebrities and business moguls. Whoo Kid has also been the program director and host of Hollywood Saturdays for Eminem's Shade 45 Channel on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio since 2005. This weekly 10-hour show features interviews with a wide array of movie stars and VIPs such as Donald Trump, Lebron James, Samuel L. Jackson and Eminem. Support from resident DJs Cliff Townley and Neil T.

DJ Keza, who recently won the 'Pioneer DJ-ME Championship' 2012 in the House category, returns to The Yacht Club tonight to play his special blend of commercial, deep and electro house. Support from resident DJ Rabih.

Decadent Entertainment have launched a new Thursday night at Pearls & CaviarMilkshake Thursdays, with DJ Chris Smith on the decks in the earlier part of the night serving up soulful house and commercial house favourites, before DJ Ka Boo takes over to play the smoothest urban vibes.

Stills are running their Oktoberfest celebrations this weekend where you can enjoy special promotions across the two days on selected German draught beverages as well as a variety of mouth watering German specialties prepared by our German chef. There will be live music from the renowned German band Barfuss, which you can listen to whilst relaxing on the terrace overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Newcomer to The Capital List, Ornina Lounge at Al Raha Beach runs their Ornina Prive event on Thursdays, with resident DJ Alex Millan playing his special concoction of deep and tech house, which you can now enjoy on their terrace with a view of Yas Island.

Friday 19th October

Al Raha Hotel is hosting a Beach Party this Friday with DJ Saif (Radio 1), Natalie BroganDJ Fadi Lee and DJ Tamer each playing their music style.

Boogie Box is back, this time at The Yacht Club. Boogie Box's emphasis on forward thinking music and artistic imagery via live visuals has allowed it to maintain its allure and continuously attract large audiences comprised of music lovers, artists and clubbers. To kick things off, they've invited the Deep House duo Jixo & Danz from Dubai to support Boogie Box resident Hassan Alwan, with their visuals maestro Krajta working his magic for your seeing pleasures.

Al Maya Island are running their BPM Rain Party again this Friday, with DJs Chris DelaneySam Farsio and Moe Turk, and live entertainment and dancers throughout the day.

It's Fashion Weekend at Blue Marlin this Friday and Saturday, with models showcasing clothes from some of the region's hottest designers. Then later, prepare yourselves for the Blue Marlin fashion after party with the one and only Hot Creation Lee Foss blazing the decks Friday, and Jixo & Danz and Kay Tek on Saturday.

On the back of the Björn Again ABBA musical at ADNEC this Friday, Aloft Hotel is hosting the official after party, with DJ Tim Cheddar playing all your favourite cheesy retro hits.

Rest of the Week

On Monday, Whatz Up events are running a special edition of their urban night at Warehouse MarinaThink Pink Urban Flow to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Resident DJ Brooklyn with guest female DJ Trina will be playing RnB and Hip Hop tunes, with prizes for the best pink dress-up.

Thursday 11th October

BIG RNB at Rush welcomes another special guest female DJ from the UK to the decks tonight, Miss Candy. Her career as a DJ really took off after a fluke set in London's Hippodrome, where the heads of both the Sony BMG and TVT street teams were blown away by her ability to incorporate all genres of urban music into her set. Candy can mix just about anything, from Hip-Hop to Funky House, RnB to Garage, and Jungle to Dancehall. With support from resident DJs Cliff Townley andNeil T.

Now that B-Lounge has officially opened (yesterday being the opening party), the first of their regular nights starts tonight, with Reboot, where you say goodbye to the week and hello to the weekend. Enjoy a few drinks in their lovely alfresco area, to the background house tunes supplied by resident DJ Koast.

Popular DJ Bliss (411/ The Real Flava) returns to the decks at Etoilesfor their Etoiles Party night, where he'll be spinning his blend of RnB, Hip Hop and House to please the crowd.

Sea Lounge are launching their new ladies night, Moon Flower Party, this evening, with DJ Natalie Brogan supplying the soulful house sounds. Free drinks for ladies dressed in the theme colour of white from 8pm onwards.

The Yacht Club's resident DJ Rabih will be accompanied by a live saxophonist and dancers later in the night, giving the evening a bit of extra spice.

Heroes in the Crowne Plaza Abu Dhabi have launched Teachers Lounge on Thursdays and Fridays, 
with special drink discounts for teachers.


Friday 12th October

There's some great pool/beach/yacht party action happening in Abu Dhabi this weekend.

Glow In the Dark, a house music DJ duo from The Netherlands, will be lighting up the decks at Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE this Friday, supported by resident DJs Frederick Stone and Jean B.

The Immense Ibiza Yacht Party is on again this Friday. Set sail from Al Marina Mall Harbour and cruise around the Gulf Sea for four hours (with an additional hour back in port), with special guest DJ Simon Kaye (The Guru Project) joining resident DJs Chris Delaney and Moe Turk in pumping out Balearic Ibiza beats. Immense's style of music is deep, funky, vocal and uplifting house. The event will host entertainers including sax players and percussionists.

Immaculate Touch returns to Al Maya Island, with live entertainment including the Immaculate dancers, fire breathers and I.T-BOT, their 8 ft. LED robot lighting the way later, and DJs Natalie BroganChadPhunkStew MagooCliff Townley and Pro Moe manning the decks, plus Chris B on percussion, it's bound to be an action packed day and night.

B-Lounge launches their new regular Friday night offering, Jazz 'n' Soul, where you can relax outside to groovy tunes in a sophisticated environment.

Urban Education returns to Pearls & Caviar, with popular UAE DJSoulninja playing back to back Dancehall, Funk, Hip Hop, Old Skool Hip Hop and RnB tunes with resident DJ Rone Jaxx. Soulninja recently won the 'Pioneer DJ-ME Championship' 2012 in the RnB/Urban category.


Tuesday 16th October

Heroes have launched a new live band night, Acoustic Sessions, featuring the International Playboys performing acoustic numbers old and new, with some surprises thrown in.


Wednesday 17th October

In Progress with DJ Koast is on at Ray's Bar this Wednesday. This is a house music night direct from Athens, where you can expect to hear deep soulful house whilst you sip wonderful cocktails at one of the funkiest new venues in the capital.

Bavarian Oktoberfest celebrations start at the Le Meridien this Wednesday, with the tennis courts of the hotel being transformed to create a true German party atmosphere. The live band Alpenklang, flying in directly from Bavaria, will be livening up the 3 nights of festivities with their vibrant traditional music and all-night entertainment.

BIG RNB
 at Rush welcomes special guest DJ Melody Kane from the UK to the decks this Thursday. Melody has gained a solid reputation amongst her peers in the music industry as being one of the most professional and talented female DJs on the scene. From special guest appearances or at her own residencies in London, Melody always brings the house down with her unique energy, technical skill and crowd reading ability. Support from resident DJs Cliff Townley and Neil T.

After their season hiatus, Ele:mental returns to Pearls & Caviar with Shadi Megallaa, Leftroom Records recording artist and Boogie Box co-founder, behind the decks to treat you to his record bag of tech house goodies. Resident Hassan Alwan will be joining, along with visuals maestro Krajta.

Stars 'n' Bars' Oktoberfest celebrations continue with a Siren Party - when you hear or see the siren going off, a different drink promotion will be going on at the bar. Jagerettes will be serving shots throughout the night.

P.J. O'Reilly's are launching their new retro night, Tropicana, where you'll hear their resident DJ play 70s, 80s and 90s pop anthems, with ladies receiving three complimentary cocktails.

Friday 5th October


RetroFlect, the post brunch party at Pearls & Caviar, is back again for the season, with DJ Jono Bradford playing retro classics, from 70s Glam Rock, through to the New Wave and Romantics genres of the 80s, right up to the rock and pop classics of the 80s, 90s and the Noughties, as you watch the sun setting over the Grand Mosque.

Then later, Urban Education, the hottest urban night to hit the nation's capital, returns to Pearls & Caviar. With resident DJ Rone Jaxx, and support from DJ Shero, you'll hear and dance to a unique blend of old, new and commercial RnB, Hip Hop and Dancehall, creating the party vibe for a nice, loyal and growing crowd.

The City Golf Club are running their Oktoberfest celebrations this weekend where you can taste 60 varieties of beverages from 22 different countries, with live bands and DJs playing throughout.

The BPM Beach Party is on at Al Maya Island this Friday, with DJsChris DelaneySimon Kaye and Smokingoove playing funky, vocal and soulful house, with live entertainment and dancers throughout the day. Al Maya Island is one of the nicest outdoor venues in the Capital, with its various beach and pool parties now hosting up to 1500 people every week.

The Tavern British Pub is hosting a post brunch party with the Chavela Duo from Uruguay and Spain heating up the crowd with a vast repertoire of classic rock and pop, reggae and jazz/soul, but will also slot in the latest chart hits upon request.

Blackeye Events are running a Blackout party at Zenith nightclub. DJ Chino will be mixing reggae, hip hop and RnB, with prizes to be won throughout the night. The preferred colour is black (but not mandatory) - that's an easy one for most!

Aloft Hotel's Liquid Rain Pool Party is back for the second last time for the season with resident DJ Natalie Brogan splashing her special blend of house music about. Not just a pool party, Liquid takes getting wet to whole new level as cool water showers over the entire dance floor - the perfect way to dance the long, hot summer night away.

Sax Club have announced two surprise celebrity Lebanese singers will perform tonight at their Layali night - so secret, you'll have to turn up to find out who they are, but they're big! Support from DJ Tony White. Ladies also receive a complimentary glass of champagne.

Saturday 6th October

B-Lounge at The Sheraton is running the second night of their popularOpen Mic Night for the season. Be sure to be on time to get a place in their Arabic seating area or on their comfortable couches. To take part as a performer you are required to register at least five days before the event.

The Crew Lounge returns for a new season at Pearls & Caviar, where ladies and airline Crew (yes even the men) receive unlimited free cocktails all night! Kick back or get down under the stars to the sounds supplied by DJ Cliff Townley. Expect to hear anything from Soul and Funk, OldSkool, RnB and Hip-Hop.

Tuesday 9th October

Sax Club are launching their new live band night, Sax Goes Live!, featuring Lisa & The Makers performing all time favourites, classics, the latest popular hits, club anthems and songs on demand.
Wednesday 10th October

In Progress with DJ Koast is on at Ray's Bar again this Wednesday. This is a house music night direct from Athens, where you can expect to hear deep soulful house whilst you sip wonderful cocktails at one of the funkiest new venues in the capital.

B-Lounge officially opens for the season this Wednesday. The open-air and palm-fringed lounge will celebrate its debut by launching exciting theme nights from the tonight onwards.

Stars 'n' Bars are launching a new 'gents night' - Just NOT Ladies Night! A night finally rewarding the spenders, and giving them something back for being such great fun. In partnership with Spinneys, the event will offer men selected drinks for only 15 AED between 8pm and 12am on Wednesday nights.

The Hilton's Oktoberfest celebrations start this Wednesday with music by Das Element, the Bavarian band from Munich, pretzels, bratwurst and beer, the chicken dance and more.

Next LevelEight's new Wednesday night offering kicks off tonight, with DJ Ray Hollywood and a host of other Next Level DJs playing club moving hits, fresh new music, classic club movers, and a mix of all genres for a diverse crowd.

The Capital List announces partnership with 7DAYS Newspaper

Abu Dhabi, Monday 1st October, 2012: The Capital List, the only website dedicated to Abu Dhabi nightlife, announced a new partnership with 7DAYS newspaper today.  The Capital List’s weekly Abu Dhabi nightlife newsletter will now be featured as a column that will be printed every Thursday within the Abu Dhabi Insider, a 7DAYS product distributed to 15,000 homes and businesses across Abu Dhabi every week, as well as 15,000 addresses in Dubai.

The Capital List provides an unbiased and up-to-date list and profile of all nightlife events throughout Abu Dhabi, including bar and club events, ladies nights, comedy, quiz and sports nights, and concerts.  Launched in December 2011, it’s now the most reliable and up-to-date source of information for everything going on in Abu Dhabi’s nightlife.
