EVENTS THIS WEEK


Thursday 18th October

Special guest DJ at BIG RNB at Rush tonight is DJ Whoo Kid. As the CEO of Shadyville Entertainment, the official DJ for G-Unit Records, founder of RadioPlanet.tv and spokesperson for several major brands, Whoo Kid has worked with a plethora of high profile celebrities and business moguls. Whoo Kid has also been the program director and host of Hollywood Saturdays for Eminem's Shade 45 Channel on Sirius/XM Satellite Radio since 2005. This weekly 10-hour show features interviews with a wide array of movie stars and VIPs such as Donald Trump, Lebron James, Samuel L. Jackson and Eminem. Support from resident DJs Cliff Townley and Neil T.

DJ Keza, who recently won the 'Pioneer DJ-ME Championship' 2012 in the House category, returns to The Yacht Club tonight to play his special blend of commercial, deep and electro house. Support from resident DJ Rabih.

Decadent Entertainment have launched a new Thursday night at Pearls & CaviarMilkshake Thursdays, with DJ Chris Smith on the decks in the earlier part of the night serving up soulful house and commercial house favourites, before DJ Ka Boo takes over to play the smoothest urban vibes.

Stills are running their Oktoberfest celebrations this weekend where you can enjoy special promotions across the two days on selected German draught beverages as well as a variety of mouth watering German specialties prepared by our German chef. There will be live music from the renowned German band Barfuss, which you can listen to whilst relaxing on the terrace overlooking the Arabian Gulf.

Newcomer to The Capital List, Ornina Lounge at Al Raha Beach runs their Ornina Prive event on Thursdays, with resident DJ Alex Millan playing his special concoction of deep and tech house, which you can now enjoy on their terrace with a view of Yas Island.

Friday 19th October

Al Raha Hotel is hosting a Beach Party this Friday with DJ Saif (Radio 1), Natalie BroganDJ Fadi Lee and DJ Tamer each playing their music style.

Boogie Box is back, this time at The Yacht Club. Boogie Box's emphasis on forward thinking music and artistic imagery via live visuals has allowed it to maintain its allure and continuously attract large audiences comprised of music lovers, artists and clubbers. To kick things off, they've invited the Deep House duo Jixo & Danz from Dubai to support Boogie Box resident Hassan Alwan, with their visuals maestro Krajta working his magic for your seeing pleasures.

Al Maya Island are running their BPM Rain Party again this Friday, with DJs Chris DelaneySam Farsio and Moe Turk, and live entertainment and dancers throughout the day.

It's Fashion Weekend at Blue Marlin this Friday and Saturday, with models showcasing clothes from some of the region's hottest designers. Then later, prepare yourselves for the Blue Marlin fashion after party with the one and only Hot Creation Lee Foss blazing the decks Friday, and Jixo & Danz and Kay Tek on Saturday.

On the back of the Björn Again ABBA musical at ADNEC this Friday, Aloft Hotel is hosting the official after party, with DJ Tim Cheddar playing all your favourite cheesy retro hits.

Rest of the Week

On Monday, Whatz Up events are running a special edition of their urban night at Warehouse MarinaThink Pink Urban Flow to raise awareness during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Resident DJ Brooklyn with guest female DJ Trina will be playing RnB and Hip Hop tunes, with prizes for the best pink dress-up.
