EVENTS THIS WEEK

Thursday 3rd January


Celebrate the first weekend of 2013 with the Abu Dhabi International Dance Festival at the Radisson Blu Yas Island, which kicks off tonight and will continue till Saturday 5th January. The dance festival will feature activities such as dance workshops (with concentration on Latin dance) with world renowned, regional and local artists, exciting social dance parties and shows by the best artists and dance groups.


Boogie Box returns to Pearls & Caviar this Thursday, featuring Boogie Box co-founder and Leftroom recording artist Shadi Megallaa alongside resident DJ Hassan Alwan. VJ Kraijta will be projecting his visuals as always.


BIG RNB at Rush features another heavyweight DJ tonight, Radio 1's Dany Neville, alongside residents Cliff Townley and Neil T.


Friday 4th January


Frederick Stone and special guest DJ Salah Sadeq take over a special Friday bringing the Pure Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE vibe to its sunny shores.


Urban Education at Pearls & Caviar tonight features DJ Shero, who will play all things RnB, hip hop, old skool and funk back to back with resident DJ, Radio 1's Rone Jaxx. Urban Education is one of Abu Dhabi’s most popular urban nights, and often features live ad-hoc performances from its DJs, all to the backdrop of views of the stunning Grand Mosque across the canal.


Saturday 5th January


Head to B-Lounge at the Sheraton Hotel this Saturday for 2013's first Open Mic Night, the gathering point of local musicians and bands in a relaxed environment. Tonight features a mix of individual and band performances by new and regular artists.Be sure to be on time to catch a seat in their Arabic cushion area or on their comfortable seating lounges.

Tuesday 8th January


Sax Club is launching their new Beirut Ladies Night this Tuesday. The weekly party will feature live music by Georges Chahid, alongside Sleiman Aoun on keyboards and support by resident DJ Roland playing the most popular Arabic and international club hits.

Wednesday 9th January

Fancy a bit of comedy for a change? Then The Laughter Factory at Heroes at the Crowne Plaza Hotel is your answer, where you'll get plenty of laughs from headline acts Stephen Grant, Stuart Goldsmith and Steve Shanyaski.
