Flash Entertainment announced that American actor and comedian Chris Tucker is coming to the UAE for the very first time, with two shows on Thursday 28th February and Friday 1st March at the du Forum. Join the animated-live performer best known for his award winning role as detective James Carter in the Rush Hour film franchise, his celebrity impersonations and his trademark high-pitched voice as he shares some of his comedic tales.


Flash also announced that they are bringing back, by popular demand, hard rock/heavy metal band Metallica to du Arena on Yas Island on Friday 19th April.

Thursday 24th January


It's Mix Wid A Chix tonight at Eight, featuring special guest DJ Beta Laa Costa. Originally from Russia, DJ Beta is one of the hottest fresh talents on the international DJ circuit today. After spending 5 years in Bali, she became the most sought after female DJ in the region. More recently, DJ Beta was the resident DJ at the One and Only Resort in the Maldives, after which she relocated to the UAE and performed at many high profile events.


Sax Club's Layali Night is hosted tonight by their new resident singer, Maher Makdessi. Support from DJ Roland, who will be mixing a fusion of Arabic and the latest international hits.

Friday 25th January


The weather is looking great for tomorrow, so head to Estrella Beach Club at the Fairmont Hotel, where you can enjoy their buy 1 get 1 free from 2pm till 4pm (ladies will also receive a free cocktail on arrival), a BBQ cooked right in front of you by their chef, as well as shisha service - the perfect partners to quality tunes on the beach.


For reggae music lovers, iHeart Reggae has organised a New Year, New Love boat cruise, featuring DJ Chino and Selecta Jezz De Don Dada.


Blue Marlin Ibiza UAE is throwing a Full Moon party featuring Guti (Desolat Germany). Originally from Argentina, Guti was a successful pianist from a young age, wowing thousands across Latin America as a rock artist. Turning his talent to techno, fusing electronic music with his Jazz and Latin roots, he became one of the most eager and interesting producers in the Latino American house scene. Support from residents Frederick Stone and Jean B.


To celebrate Australia Day, PJ's is hosting an Aussie Shout outdoor party, an all day event offering great food, bottles and bucket deals, a raffle draw and live entertainment with DJ Soto, Spies In the Cellar and resident band Sweet Chilli Jam.

You can also celebrate Australia Day at Crowne Plaza Yas Island with a fun filled BBQ party on the Stills Bar terrace. Guests can enjoy a traditional BBQ and Aussie beverages, while listening to the latest hits played by resident DJ Chris Jackson.


Are you an old skool retro music lover? Then Harvester's Pub is the place for it. Tonight, there will be a special live act by guest singer Ady Ellis at their Old Skool Retro Night. DJ Chris Delaney and live band The Hurricanes will be playing music from 60s through to the 90s.


Saturday 26th January

For those celebrating Australia Day today (and those of you who just want to join in on a good party), many of the nightlife venues throughout Abu Dhabi are putting something on to help you commemorate the occasion.

Head to Etoiles tonight for their Australia Day themed Ladies Night, with free drinks for ladies all night. Expect to hear some popular tracks from Australian artists and some Aussie classics for a bit of a laugh. The club will be decorated in an Australian theme to help you celebrate in true Aussie style.

Celebrate what's great about Australia and being Australian with a big traditional party at Le Méridien at their Center Garden. They will be serving up a big Aussie BBQ buffet along with Australian wine and beer at a special rate. The program will feature Aussie entertainment from the Village Viggles band, Brothers Three, a special choir who will perform and sing Australian songs, followed by DJ Marc.

Stars 'N' Bars will be offering discounted Australian beers and wines and resident DJ Simon Kaye will be spinning vinyl.

All nationals and Aussie-Fans will find an authentic 'Down Under' atmosphere at The Tavern Pub, Sheraton Hotel, with plenty of traditional food and a large variety of typical Australian brews. The Chavela Duo band will heat up the crowd with a vast repertoire of classic rock, pop, reggae and jazz/soul, but will also slot in the latest chart hits upon request.

Sunday 27th January

Full Moon Celebration is on tonight at Ornina, where guests can enjoy beverage and tapas packages, while listening to deep house tunes from their new resident DJ Tony Tone.

Wednesday 30th January

Tonight, Urban Ladies Night at Sax will be hosted by a special guest, DJ Anya (Dubai). Anya is a young and talented DJ and producer born in Poland. She has worked as a music promoter for one of the biggest internet portals in Europe, which gave her the opportunity to play at the biggest music festivals with some of the world's top artists. Her specialty is doing both DJ mixes and live act performances, which are loved by the dancing crowd. Support from DJ Ka Boo and resident DJ Roland.
